Focused on your child’s dental care and their dental experience
Our office takes pride in providing our youngest patients with a dental setting that's comfortable, positive, and pleasant.
We stress the importance of educating children early in the proper methods of dental hygiene and developing a comfortable trusted dental relationship that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Your child's first dental visit
Your child's first routine visit is usually scheduled after their second birthday. But please keep in mind that no child is too young for a first dental visit if you see a problem or have a question. During your child’s first routine examination we will gently examine his or her teeth and gums. We provide a comprehensive exam and developmental check, a cleaning and fluoride treatment, and digital x-rays (as needed). Our highly qualified staff will teach your child the best ways to clean their teeth at home to ensure great oral health for life.
Children continually get new teeth from age 3 months to the age 6 years. Most children have a full set of 20 primary teeth by the time they are 3 years old. As a child nears the age 6, the jaw grows making room for the permanent teeth. At the same time, the roots of the baby teeth begin to be absorbed by the tissues around them and the permanent teeth under them begin to erupt.
We look forward to seeing you and your child.
